Det hvide snit skriger af køreglæde
Opel Astra Sports Tourer. Tyg lidt på navnet. Stationcars fra Opel har aldrig været synonym med ovenud køreglæde og sport. Men det er den nye Astra godt på vej til at lave om på. Og med en stærk dieselmotor og en moderne hvid farve, så er det svært ikke at lade sig forføre – i hvert fald lidt.
Kabinen lægger op til sport. Men der er alt for mange knapper på midterkonsollen. Sæderne sidder du dejligt i. Bemærk det røde lys under gearstangen

60, 70, 80 km/t, op i fjerde gear. Den 160 hestes dieselmotor trækker godt over 3000 omdrejninger. Sving. Det præcise styretøj retter den 1,6 tons tunge bil ind på ideallinjen. Et par heste på den nærliggende mark kommer rendende på siden og følger bilen til det næste sving. Nedbremsning. Opel Astra Sports Tourer elsker sving. Det nedløbsrørs-tykke læderrat løfter køreoplevelsen yderligere. Det er en ren fornøjelse.
Svært at stoppe
Ja, det er faktisk svært at holde op igen, når først man har taget Opels nye Astra Sports Tourer til sig. Den 2.0 liters CDTI dieselmotor yder hele 350 Nm, og de bliver faktisk leveret pænt. Men i de to laveste gear er der en smule af den velkendte ketchupeffekt tilbage – her eksploderer omdrejningstallene over 3000 omdrejninger i minuttet. Det giver en smule ujævn kørsel ved igangsætning. Undervognen er godt afstemt, så du både føler det sportslige præg, men også kan holde ud at tage en længere autobahn-tur til Sydtyskland. Jeg er også vild med designet, og stationcarudgaven ser ekstra sportslig ud – især i den hvide farve.
Fine præstationer og pladsforhold
Selvom pladsen på bagsædet er blevet bedre sammenlignet med den gamle Astra Wagon, så er bagagerummet ikke skrumpet – det giver stadig 500 liter. Samtidig kan man som ekstraudstyr få installeret en knap, som automatisk nedfælder bagsæderne, så pladsen udvides til 1550 liter. Den 160 HK 2.0 CDTI dieselmotor sikrer glimrende præstationer. 100 km-i-timen-stregen passerer man på 9,5 sekunder, og topfarten er 212 km/t. Det blandede forbrug er fra Opels side opgivet til 19,6 km/liter. På denne tur nåede jeg dog ikke op på mere end 15 km/l, og det på trods af, at ruten var en blanding mellem landevej ved jævn fart, motorvej og bykørsel. Ikke vildt imponerende.
Kanon kabine - næsten
Nu skal det hele ikke gå op i pæne ord og køreglædebegejstring, men én ting mere skal den nye Astra Sports Tourer roses for. Det er de indvendige kvaliteter. Til en pris på 344.000 kr. skulle der også gerne være noget for pengene, men det giver Opel dig så sandelig. Et lækkert læderrat, dybe og støttende sæder, sportslige instrumenter og elektronisk håndbremse. Der er ikke sparet på detaljerne, og den svagt stigende horisontale linje fra dørene og op rundt om foruden er taget fra storebror Insignia. Men det ser godt ud. Forsæderne støtter godt, især på ydersiden af lårene, så man hele tiden holdes godt på plads, hvis det går lidt stærkt rundt i svingene.
Uoverskuelig orden
Midterkonsollen er dog et vælg af knapper, og hvis blikket vendes mod eksempelvis Volkswagen Golf, så kræver det ikke 20 knapper at betjene radioen! Det samtidig irriterende, at man skal rode lidt rundt i klimaanlægget, før man er helt med på det. Det er lidt en ommer, Opel. Et lyspunkt er dog, at radioen til gengæld leverer god lyd. Instrumentbrættet er sportsligt, men overskueligt.
